Our client has successfully launched a new and innovative technology platform that serves millions of consumers, tens of thousands of providers, and thousands of colleagues throughout the US. Since its launch in November 2020, the SaaS platform has delivered curated promotions and personalized experiences for millions of consumers.

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer as they prepare to launch a new array of game-changing technologies on the successfully adopted platform.

Requirements
  • At least 6+ years as a DevOps Engineer with strong experience using AWS and Terraform.
  • Strong foundation in core networking, security, and compliance.
  • Familiar with building infrastructure to support Microservices and Event-Driven Architecture using Serverless, Lambda, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Proficient with CI/CD pipelines, shell scripting, and instrumentation/monitoring solutions (i.e., Datadog).
  • A proponent of infrastructure-as-code, least privilege access, observability, and other DevOps best practices.
  • Experience working with Software Engineers developing serverless and containerized platforms.
Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable infrastructure on AWS using Terraform, Kubernetes, and other relevant tools.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient and automated application deployments.
  • Implement strategic architecture, systems, and projects on the roadmap.
  • Responsible for influencing technical decisions within the team and supporting cross-functional teams.
  • Champion infrastructure code quality, reusability, scalability security, and help make strategic software architecture decisions with the cloud architect.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure the health, performance, and security of the infrastructure.
  • Identify and develop automation candidates for improving infrastructure provisioning, CICD, and serverless architecture deployments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct systems design and infrastructure reviews.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, sharing your expertise in AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and monitoring and security tools.
  • Optimize and automate existing processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in DevOps practices and technologies, and proactively recommend improvements.
  • Partner with engineering teams to be a “trusted advisor” for DevOps and implement established architecture patterns.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide support during incidents as needed.
